Lunch at Sliema, a walk around Valletta, and a visit to St John's Cathedral

After some shopping at M & S we had lunch in Sliema with its views over to Valletta and St Paul's Cathedral.

Then back to Valletta and a walk around the streets or "triqs", admiring the interesting architecture and the Maltese covered-balconies.

Our accommodation. The top covered balcony and the window to its right are our room.

Finally we visited St John's Cathedral which houses Caravaggio's "The Beheading of Saint John the Baptist".
