Laterina, and "dinner in" Tuscany style

We stayed at the villa today although Matthew went to the local village, Laterina, with some of the others to do some shopping.

Shopping of course started with cappuccino and pastries.
Fortunately the shop that sells coffee and croissants also sells wine. We bought seven bottles and they gave us two!
Then we got some meat from the butcher ............
... and some fruit and veges. I think  I must have used the Italian word for "grimace" instead of "smile".
Laterina is 50 kms southwest of Florence and has a population of about 3,500.

The locals did seem to like us although were a bit worried when they thought I had managed to dislodge the sword in the stone. (Whoever does becomes the ruler of the town).
Tonight we are eating in. Well, two local chefs arrived at about 5.00 pm and have been preparing our dinner.
